I am curious if this has ever happened to any of you out there:
Every now and again I lose sensation in my toes. Not all of my toes. Just one or two at a time. It typically lasts about a week or so and then I mysteriously (and thankfully) regain the feeling in those toes again. It doesn't happen often either - usually once every year or two. It pretty much drives me crazy and when it does happen I can be seen banging on my toe(s) or massaging the little things like mad or sometimes even poking at them with things that should hurt a bit. Nothing.

Weird. Sounds like a pinched nerve, or at least some sort of nerve damage. How annoying that it's lasting that long at one time.
Hmmm.. If it is a pinched nerve, I wonder what I'm doing sporadically to pinch it. I've got to pay more attention I think.
Does this mean I'm getting old?
I was going to say that maybe it had to do with some exercise you might be doing, but since it is so sporadic, probably not. I have had that same sort of problem where some of my toes are crampy and numb but I notice it flares up when I am running a lot. My sister has problems with bad blood circulation so when she is running a lot her hands and feet get numb at times. Going back to the pinched nerve thing. If you do have one I recommend a calf massage. You'd never realize how tense your muscles get in your calves until someone is digging around in your muscles. It hurts for the moment, but a few days later you feel GREAT! I think I have been of no help, and have just left my longest comment ever....sorry
