Today the gardeners came to tidy up our yard. The did a nice job - trimming, mowing, raking, watering, etc. And then, right before they left, they came back and
STOLE my figs! Yup, right in front of me they picked 4 or 5 and took off! I suppose technically they are Dudley's figs since he's the landlord, but I'm renting right now so they are
MINE. I had great plans for some figgy pudding. *

I thought it was piggy pudding.
By the way...
your Bum Rushers will be piggy pudding by the end of this week.
Oh my dear! I can't believe, well I can, but that is just crazy! Also, I feel really weird popping in after you moved, but I just found your blog right before you left NM and am pretty interested in your new life (out of NM). I can't wait for those pictures! Good luck with a job.
Why would someone make pudding out of PIGS when they could make it out of figs? Piggy pudding makes no sense...
Sara, I'm so excited that you posted! Thank you!
I prefer the name piggy pudding. I reference John Denver's Christmas album with the Muppets
(1990). On the track "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", the following occurs:
Scooter sings, "Now bring us some figgy pudding..."
And Miss Piggy says, "Piggy pudding!?"
Scooter: "No. FIGGY pudding."
Miss Piggy: "Oh."
Scooter: "It's made with figs... and BACON!" Followed by snickering.
This was a hilarious joke to me when I first heard it at the age of 11. Since then, I have always liked the term piggy puding, as opposed to the correct name.
Thanks for the chance to reminisce.
Obviously the Muppets had way too big of an impact on me at a tender age.
