Over a week ago, last Thursday to be exact, Mr X sprained his ankle while jumping over a curb during a morning run. The picture here is of his ankle about 2 days after the incident. I don't think the picture quite captures the damage adequately enough, but it'll have to do.
Normally Mr X has these very slender and shapely little ankles (and I mean that in the most manly way possible). His ankles are smaller than mine even though he's almost 4 inches taller and about 40 pounds heavier. I'm not sure if that has any bearing on the issue anywhere else but in my mind, but anyway...
His ankle is taking waaaaay too long to heal. You see, when Mr X can't go outside and run around and play to his heart's content, he turns into a rather crotchety old grump. To his credit, so far he's been doing pretty well on that front, but sooner or later he'll cross his patience/boredom threshold and then there'll hell to pay...

That is a very strange picture because it makes your toes (I'm assuming the painted ones are yours) look like a five-year-old's. Are Mr. X's feet really that big?
Ya the painted ones are mine. I never noticed the way it makes Mr X's feet look freakishly large...but you're right, it does.
To clarify - Mr X has rather smallish feet, just slightly larger than my own. I just made him raise his leg up in the air (probably painful for him at the time) for the picture.
Poor Mr X. Give a kiss on that fat foot for me!
We just got back from the triathlon. Brett did pretty good. After the swim and bike, he ran an average 7 min 32 sec mile. Wish you guys could have come. It motivated me and it looks fun. I might try the bike/runs.
Oh ya, you've been tagged.
